Registration and Meal Details
Registration check-in, as well as breakfast and lunch will be housed in the McNamara Alumni Center. Coffee breaks and snacks (PM coffee break ONLY) will be available in both McNamara Alumni Center and the Graduate Hotel. Sunday and Monday night reception/dinner details are below.
If you are checking in on Sunday (SIG Day), please enter McNamara through the Northeast doors. Registration will be in the main Commons room. Conference volunteers will happily help you find the room.
If you are checking in on Monday or Tuesday, please enter McNamara through the Northeast doors. Registration will be between the front desk and fireplace.
Breakfast and Lunch will be buffet-style. The menu is as follows:
SIG-Day Meal Options
Breakfast: fresh fruit, assorted breakfast breads, muffins, scones, pastries, preserves and sweet butter, orange juice, Certified Organic and Free Trade dark roast coffee, decaffeinated coffee, and hot tea
Lunch: grilled chicken (pesto cream sauce (GF)); McNamara's braised short rib (red wine sauce (GF, DF)); baked three cheese manicotti (red sauce (V)); fresh baked D'Amico breads, seasonal vegetables and starch, dessert
Main Conference Day 1 Meal Options
Breakfast: assorted breakfast breads, morning muffins; smoked salmon, whipped cream cheese, capers, red onion, mini bagels; preserves and sweet butter, fresh fruit, orange juice, Certified Organic and Free Trade dark roast coffee, decaffeinated coffee, tea
Lunch: baby spinach salad, crispy buffalo chickpeas, celery, carrot, radish, blue cheese or herb buttermilk dressing (GF, V); KITCHEN NOTE: Blue cheese and dressing served on the side; sautéed salmon (honey barbeque sauce (DF)); braised beef tips (Madeira wine sauce), pearl onions, Crimini mushrooms (GF, DF); fresh baked D'Amico breads, sweet cream butter, seasonal vegetables and starch, dessert
Main Conference Day 2 Meal Options
Breakfast: scrambled eggs, aged cheddar, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, fresh fruit, assorted breakfast breads, pastries, orange juice, Certified Organic and Free Trade dark roast coffee, decaffeinated coffee, hot tea
Lunch: Caesar salad, garlic croutons, shaved parmesan (V); walleye (coconut curry (GF, DF)); grilled chicken (red wine mushroom and pearl onion sauce (GF, DF)); fresh baked D'Amico breads, sweet cream butter, seasonal vegetables and starch, dessert
Sunday, June 30
SIG-Day Reception
SIG-Day Reception
The Sunday night SIG reception will be held at the Weisman Art Museum located on campus.
SIG Day registration is required for admission to the June 30 reception at the Weisman.
Please arrive as close to 6:45 as possible. Hors d'oeuvres (catered by Deco Catering) will be provided. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. The museum exhibit will be open during the reception; feel free to walk the exhibit, but no beverages are allowed in the exhibit area.
The reception ends at 9:00pm.
Monday, July 1 Dinner
The Monday night Main Conference dinner will be held at The View (212 2nd Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414) located just off campus in St. Anthony Main, about 1.8 miles from the Graduate Hotel.
Buses will begin shuttling attendees to the dinner venue from The Graduate (West Side Entrance) at 5:30pm. There will be 5 buses (hold 50 people per bus) that circuit between the venue and the Graduate. The last bus will leave the Graduate at 6:45pm. If you are not on the bus you are welcome to Uber or Lyft yourself there. Cocktail hour (hors d'oeuvres and bar) will begin at 6:00pm. Your first drink is complimentary with your drink ticket (alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks up to $14). You will find the drink ticket in your lanyard behind your conference name tag. We expect the sit-down dinner will be served between 7:30pm and 7:45pm.
The dinner ends at 9:30pm. Buses will start shuttling attendees back to the Graduate at 8:30pm. The final bus will depart from The View at 9:45pm.
Campus Details
McNamara Alumni Center is conveniently located behind the Graduate Hotel. You can walk outside or take the Gopher Way (tunnel) if there is bad weather.
Conference Volunteers will be available at both venues to assist you with directional needs, as well as any other informaiton.
